For anyone else who is impressed, it's worth pointing out that v6 can be currently purchased by Fuji owners at a 40% discount from the european store which includes a free upgrade to 7 when the English version appears and for once, I think it really is a good deal. It should silence criticism about supposed shortcomings of the TransX sensor (particularly in the area of foliage) once and for all. Other than for LR or C1 diehards who are not interested in trying anything else, I'd strongly recommend folk take a look at this. It's all a far cry from the RFC which comes free for or with Fuji cameras. There are new circular and phase correction filters which roughly correspond to the radial and graduated Lightroom ones.

For JPEG lovers, the film simulation colours are pretty close to the original from what I can see if at times slightly less saturated. The biggie here the new "natural sharpening" mode which is a big advance on anything before and imo the best demosaicing of any product currently on the market.

Although v 7 is currently only in Japanese, anyone familiar with the software should be able to try out most of the functions with a bit of help from google translate. I've been having a look over the last few days at the latest version of Silkypix.
